After with my look at IceSpace and partly due to the upcoming openings of Ice Bar Orlando and Minus 5 Vegas, I’ve compiled a list of the world’s “ice places” that may be the most complete listing of ice hotels, ice lounges, and ice bars on the web. For example, back in June, Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL), in announcing that it will have an ice bar on its new ship, claimed that it would be one of only 14 ice bars in the world. There are 17 “frozen” bars listed in “ice places,” with 12 more listed as “freezing,” which includes the NCL bar. I’ve also listed other ice attractions that merit inclusion. Here’s the list.

Buddy Rasmussen sits at the Aurora Ice Museum ice bar earlier this year. The Aurora Ice Hotel (later it became the Museum) was the first ice hotel (and ice bar) in the U.S back in the winter of 2003-2004.
