  Here’s the final New Year’s design for this year. This piece again requires a half block slab (40”x20”x4-5””) and an additional base piece not shown in the template. This design gets around the inherent structural problems of an ice hourglass by employing the snowfill engraving method. Still, you can choose not to carve out the space between the hourglass and the posts if you wish. Happy New Year!
