ice carving secrets: champagne glass design

Obviously, with this sculpture, you have to be sure not to cut the stem of the glass down too much, or after a while, it won’t look like a champagne glass. The dotted lines in the sculpture (not the template grid) indicate cuts down into the ice. The sculpture should be cut so that the base of the sculpture (just below the glass) extends out toward the front. Then two holes can be cut into the base to hold bottles of champagne. You can use a special bit that attaches to a drill to cut these holes. The dotted lines in the glass itself indicates how the top can be hollowed out if necessary.
