ice carving secrets: photos by Patrick Endres
ice carving secrets: photos by Patrick Endres
In some of my blog entries, I’ve talked about the superior quality of Patrick Endres’ ice sculpture photos. I am proud to be able to add more of his work to this site because Patrick is the premier ice sculpture photographer in the world. Patrick’s skill and artistic sense let some ice sculptures last indefinitely in photographs while others just melt away. There are six more photos taken by Patrick in the gallery of Aaron Costic’s sculptures. There are hundreds more ice sculpture photos and thousands of other images from Alaska at his site at www.alaskaphotographics.com. (continued below)
All of Patrick’s photos are available for license or purchase as fine art prints in a variety of sizes. All of his images on this site are used with permission and may not be reproduced without additional permission. All of the photos below were taken at the World Ice Art Championships in Fairbanks, Alaska. Additional information about the sculptures and the competition is available at www.icealaska.com. Ice sculpture photos by Patrick appear in two excellent ice art books, “The Making of Ice Art: Sculpting the Arctic Diamond” and Junichi Nakamura’s book, “Visions of the Master.” The blog entry that introduced this gallery is here.
