The only ice hotel in the United States (so far) was The Aurora Ice Hotel at Chena Hot Springs Resort, near Fairbanks, AK. The hotel closed in 2004 and reopened in 2005 as the Aurora Ice Museum, so there currently (2008) isn’t any sort of icy accommodations in the U.S. that “officially” takes overnight guests. You can, however, rent the Aurora Ice Museum overnight and of course you are allowed to be in the museum during the rental period :) World Champion carvers Steve Brice and Heather Brice are the sculptors for the museum.
